The high-speed rail project linking Kenitra and Marrakech, which was launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, is set to be equipped with advanced technological equipment that ensures the highest standards of safety and comfort.
The National Office of Railways has initiated a program to acquire 18 new generation high-speed trains (traveling at 320 km/h) with a capacity of 641 seats, which will be supplied by the French company Alstom.
This acquisition will increase the current fleet of twelve trains to a total of thirty trains.
The project will reshape the national railway network in terms of travel times and the services offered, while also meeting the sustainability objectives set by Morocco.
