The government council discusses the decree on health employees’ compensation.

A government council meeting will be held next Thursday, chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, the Prime Minister.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s office indicated that the council will begin by discussing four draft decrees. The first pertains to the amendment and completion of the decree on the protection and compensation of certain categories of employees from the Ministry of Health against occupational hazards. The second involves the attachment or transfer of some employees from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to the Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products and the Moroccan Blood and Derivatives Agency. The third concerns the amendment of the decree related to the implementation of the law establishing the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Logistics Activities, while the fourth draft decree addresses the opening of additional funds for the general budget.

The same source added that the council will subsequently study the headquarters agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Union of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions in Africa (UCESA) concerning the establishment of the permanent secretariat of this union in Morocco, signed in Rabat on December 4, 2024, along with a draft law approving the aforementioned agreement.

The council will conclude its work by examining proposals for appointments to high positions in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution.

Following the council meeting, the government will hold a special session to discuss several proposed laws.
