The Swedish Embassy organized a mobile consulate on April 12 and 13 in Malmö, the capital of Skåne County, for the Moroccan community residing in this southern region of the country.
This consular visit, held as part of the embassy’s proximity policy in line with the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, saw a significant turnout from community members, allowing over 200 citizens from the Moroccan diaspora in Malmö and surrounding areas to benefit from a wide range of consular services.
During the event, personal documents were issued, including biometric passports, electronic national identity cards, judicial certificates, and document verification services, in addition to legal consultations and civil status services.
In parallel with the services provided by the relevant local authorities, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Sweden held a meeting with representatives of the Moroccan community, economic project holders, and talents wishing to contribute to strengthening the bilateral relationship between Morocco and Sweden.
The session, part of the continuation of the first phase of the consular visit attended by Moroccan community activists, provided an opportunity to discuss their ambitions and aspirations, particularly regarding integration, access to services, and the preservation of cultural identity.
Concrete projects that some stakeholders intend to implement in Morocco and Sweden were also discussed.
The Moroccan Embassy in Sweden had previously organized a mobile consulate for the Moroccan community residing in Gothenburg last February.
