Putin Announces a Three-Day Ceasefire with Ukraine

The Kremlin announced on Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a three-day ceasefire from May 8 to 10 in the ongoing war with Ukraine, coinciding with Moscow’s Victory Day celebrations commemorating World War II.

The Kremlin added, “Russia expects the Ukrainian side to follow suit. Should the Ukrainian side violate the ceasefire, the Russian armed forces will respond appropriately and effectively.”
