Morocco as a Model for Agricultural Development in Eswatini
The Minister of Agriculture of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Mandla Chawuka, stated yesterday in Meknes that Morocco has made significant progress in agricultural and technological fields, emphasizing that his country views the Moroccan experience as a model to emulate.
Chawuka praised the advancements the kingdom has achieved in various areas such as agriculture, irrigation, and water resource management, in a statement to the press following a meeting with Morocco’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, Ahmed Abouari, on the sidelines of the 17th International Agriculture Exhibition in Morocco. He added that his country has initiated a broad agricultural development program, noting that the Moroccan experience in agricultural programs could serve as an inspiration for Eswatini.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore avenues for cooperation between the two countries, particularly in agricultural production and effective irrigation.
The International Agriculture Exhibition in Morocco 2025, organized under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, features 1,500 exhibitors from 70 countries, marking a significant event for agricultural policies and an important station for enhancing exchanges, reinforcing international partnerships, and highlighting practical solutions to the challenges faced by the agricultural sector.
