Estonia Commends His Majesty the King’s Leadership and Morocco’s Role as a Hub for Peace and Stability

On Tuesday, Estonia lauded the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Morocco’s active role as a center for peace, stability, and development in the region.

During a press conference following discussions held in Tallinn with Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna emphasized his country’s special interest in strengthening relations with Morocco.

After acknowledging the distinctiveness of these relations, the head of Estonian diplomacy reiterated the mutual willingness to enhance the partnership between his country and Morocco in areas of shared interest.

On this occasion, Tsahkna recalled the importance of the joint announcement signed in Rabat on October 21, 2024, noting that this announcement represents a significant roadmap to fortify and diversify the partnership between the two countries.

In this announcement, Estonia recognized Morocco’s stability and the ambitious reforms undertaken under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which have positioned the kingdom as a vital and reliable partner for the European Union and the region.

Estonia commended the efforts made under King Mohammed VI’s leadership towards peace, stability, and economic development in Africa.

It highlighted the importance of initiatives launched under the King’s guidance for the benefit of Africa, particularly “the royal initiative to facilitate the access of Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean,” “the Atlantic African countries platform,” and the “Morocco-Nigeria gas pipeline” project.

In the same context, the meeting in Tallinn between Bourita and Tsahkna reflects the shared desire of both Morocco and Estonia to strengthen ties between the two nations. It also demonstrates both countries’ determination to advance political dialogue and economic partnership, as well as coordinate on issues of mutual interest at bilateral, regional, and international levels.
