Bad weather conditions prevent fishing boats from sailing in Boujdour for three days

The Boujdour fishing department has announced a ban on sailing for traditional fishing boats in the Boujdour maritime area on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, April 16, 17, and 18 of this year, due to strong winds and high waves.

In this context, the department issued a statement saying: “The Boujdour fishing department informs all fishermen that the shores of this maritime area will experience unfavorable weather conditions for sailing on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (April 16, 17, and 18, 2025), characterized by north to northeast winds at speeds of 40 km/h and northern waves reaching heights of up to two meters.”

The announcement further stated that sailing for traditional fishing boats is prohibited during this period to ensure the safety of fishermen.
