A delegation from the International Agricultural Show in Paris participates in the International Agricultural Show in Meknes

The management of the International Agricultural Show in Paris announced in a statement that it is sending a delegation to partake in the events of the International Agricultural Show in Meknes, aimed at enhancing cooperation between Morocco and France in the agricultural sector and exchanging expertise and experiences among stakeholders in the industry.

According to a statement from the management of the International Agricultural Show in Paris, this participation “is part of the continuity of the strong moments shared” during the last edition of the show in Paris, reflecting the vitality and dynamism characterizing the relations between the two countries in agriculture and food industries.

The French delegation, which will engage in a series of meetings “at the heart of the largest agricultural exhibition in Africa,” is led by Jérôme Despey, the president of the International Agricultural Show in Paris.

The statement emphasized that this participation, extended at Morocco’s invitation, “falls within a shared desire” to enhance the cooperation that began last February in Paris and to make these two exhibitions “witnesses and accelerators” of French-Moroccan collaboration.

According to the same source, numerous common issues will enrich discussions and enhance exchanges between the two countries, ranging from water management to animal and plant genetics, as well as the impacts of climate change.

Jérôme Despey, the president of the International Agricultural Show in Paris, stated that “our official exchanges with Morocco give a real international dimension to the exhibition. The agricultural and forestry partnerships that bind the two countries go beyond mere technical aspects, embodying shared values based on openness, solidarity, and cooperation. These are the same values that form the core of the international agricultural exhibitions in France and Morocco.”

He added, “Morocco is a major agricultural country, as is France. In the face of the challenges posed by global warming, we have much to share and discuss in order to develop more resilient agricultural models, as well as more sustainable and productive agriculture, in line with enhancing the aspirations of the agricultural and forestry roadmap that we have adopted.”
